Manny Toledo
Coach Toledo Bio
Born in the Azores, Portugal and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, Manny began his soccer career playing soccer, footvolley barefooted in the streets and beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Later he played Futsal, Team Handball with Sport Club Mackenzie. After arriving in California from Rio, he played with three different semi-pro clubs - Tulare Angrense AC, Artesia DES and Chino DES until the late 1990’s in the Pacific Soccer League, (PSL), and the San Bernardino Soccer League.
For several years, he was the Program Director and Head Soccer Coach at Brea HS, El Dorado HS, Servite HS as well as Cerritos College. During his tenure at Brea Olinda HS from 1981 to 1991 --- the varsity teams won seven Orange league championships, won CIF, California Interscholastic Federation, in 1986 and runner up in 1987 and Quarter Finalists in 1988.
In 2004, Manny established the Toledo Futsal Academy, to teach the Beautiful Game to girls and boys of all ages.
From 1989 to 1999 Manny was the Head Coach for (CYSA) California Youth Soccer Association boys U14 State Team with the US Olympic Development Program (ODP). Coach Toledo holds a ‘C’ National Coaching License from the (USSF) United States Soccer Federation.
For 23 years Manny directed the City of Brea Manny Toledo's O C Camps and Futsal Academy in Brea (Brea junior HS, Brea sports park) and in Placentia (Sierra Vista & Tuffree schools) where more than 12,000 youngsters from local soccer associations, AC Brea, Chelsea, Pateadores, Strikers, Fullerton Rangers, and many other clubs have participated.

Known as top clinician, teacher of the game, coach & instructor, Manny is well received by players, coaches and parents because of his fun, positive, colorful teaching and coaching approach. Manny retired from Brea Olinda HS in 2018, but continues to teach the Beautiful Game to youngsters of all ages. Manny resides in Placentia with his beautiful wife Julie (of 30 years) and their two sons, Zane and Max. Manny speaks Futebol, Portuguese, Spanish and some English. :-)
